Purpose and nature of the information

playas.com.es is an independent guide to the beaches of Spain. The information is general and for guidance only: facilities, flags, local rules (dogs, naturism, access) and weather forecasts can change, so check them with the town council or the official source before you go, and always follow the lifeguards' instructions. playas.com.es is not linked to any official body.

Third-party data

Beach data comes from open sources: Wikidata (CC0, including information from the Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition's beach guide), OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL licence), ADEAC's list of Blue Flag beaches and AEMET's beach codes. Weather forecasts come from the State Meteorological Agency of Spain (© AEMET) or Open-Meteo (CC BY 4.0), as stated on each page. Wikipedia extracts are published under CC BY-SA 4.0 with a link to the original article. Maps use OpenStreetMap tiles and IGN/CNIG boundaries via es-atlas (CC BY 4.0).

The news section shows headlines and short excerpts from external sources, linking to the original content; some news items are machine-translated and labelled as such.
